Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) recently participated in a capacity-building training led by the Public Benefit Organizations Regulatory Authority (PBORA), aimed at simplifying the legal and regulatory environment governing PBOs in Kenya.The session unpacked key provisions of the Public Benefit Organizations Act, 2013 and the Constitution of Kenya, with a focus on compliance, governance, accountability, and collaboration with government.Participants gained practical insights on reporting requirements, financial transparency, and the importance of aligning organizational operations with the current legal framework. The training also emphasized that compliance is not a limitation, but a critical foundation for credibility, sustainability, and impact.An informed CSO is an empowered CSO,ready to serve communities more effectively and responsibly.
