About Us

Pambazuko La Wanawake Magharibi (PALAWAMA) is a Women’s Rights Organization that was established in 2011 as a Public Benefits Organization. Our aim is to work towards ensuring human rights and justice for women and young vulnerable people as well as creating an inclusive environment for the local communities in Western Kenya and Nyanza Regions through a network of women and youth groups in Migori, Nyamia, Homabay, Kisumu, Siaya, Busia, Bungoma, Kakamega and Vihiga Counties with a major focus on Human Rights Based Approach (HRBA) which emphasizes empowerment of women who are economically disempowered as well as socially excluded. Pambazuko aims at reaching Ten Thousand (10,000) women and Seven Thousand (7,000) Youths per year.
